New Canaan Traffic Advisory
Downtown traffic will be detoured Saturday for the funeral of retired police Lt. Timothy Murphy.
The funeral for retired Norwalk Police Lt. Timothy Murphy will be held Saturday morning at St. Aloysius Church on Cherry Street.
New Canaan Police are advising motorists that from approximately 9 a.m. until noon, Cherry Street will be intermittingly closed to all traffic between Park Street and South Avenue for the funeral service of the former New Canaan resident who passed away Jan. 29.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area during the funeral service.
