NEW CANAAN, CT — The Town of New Canaan has expanded its communications outreach to include notifications about town parking, officials announced in a news release.

This has been added to the New Canaan Alerts program launched in April 2024 that includes the First Selectman’s newsletter, information about emergencies, road closures, tree work, police activity, fire prevention, local health issues, and more.

To receive notices about parking permits, lot closures, street parking, changes in parking regulations, parking fees, or any of the Town matters listed above, sign up at newcanaan.info/alerts .

"Every local resident and businessperson is urged to visit newcanaan.info/alerts, register contact information and select the topics of information that you would like to receive from the Town," officials said in a prepared statement. "You may choose to receive the alerts by email or text. Voice phone calls are used only during true emergencies and disasters."
