New Canaan Woman Arrested for Violating Protective Order

The woman was charged with a felony.

 

A 47-year-old New Canaan woman was charged with violating a protective order after she allegedly contacted her estranged husband's associates and family members after being told by a judge it was illegal for her to do so. 

According to police, her estranged husband reported the contact on Oct. 12 at 6:27 p.m. Officers then went to the woman's home on Knapp Lane later that night and arrested her.

The woman was held on $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Oct. 15.
