New Canaan Woman Reports Stolen Copper Downspouts
The gutters were valued at approximately $850.

An Oak Street woman called police on April 1 with a strange problem that turned out to be no joke - someone stole her copper gutters.
The 47-year-old complainant said someone stole the copper downspout system right off the sides of her home. Two pieces approximately 8 to 10 feet in length were taken, police said, valued at approximately $850.
Police said the woman told them, after she thought about it, she thought she noticed at least one of them missing roughly two weeks ago. The woman also said she noticed a suspicious green minivan in the area during the early morning hours around that time.
