Photos of New Canaan Burglary Suspect Released

Police are hoping that someone will recognize the suspect in the 2 burglaries in town.

New Canaan Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect they believe broke into two homes on Wednesday.

The man, whose image was captured on a security video and released by police Thursday night, also is suspected in the attempted burglary of a third home, according to Lt. Jason Ferraro.

According to Chief Leon Krolikowski, one of the homes was on Old Norwalk Road and the other on Butler Lane. Those burglaries occurred between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 3. The attempted burglary occurred on Birchwood Lane, according to Ferraro.

Police said residents had alarm systems set and doors locked when burglars entered — and police continue to urge residents to do so.
