Popular Dog-Friendly Event Sets 2025 Return In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, CT — Pet Pantry Warehouse has announced the return of its beloved signature New Canaan Dog Days event in town this summer.

According to a news release, the popular dog-friendly event is scheduled to take place June 1 at the New Canaan Nature Center, located at 144 Oenoke Ridge, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A similar event, Fairfield Dog Days, is also scheduled to be held June 22 at the Old Town Hall Green in Fairfield from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the pet pantry, these lively outdoor festivals bring together dog lovers, local businesses, and animal advocates to celebrate community, raise funds for local shelters, and pamper community members' four-legged best friends.

"We are so happy and grateful to be picked as a charity for Dog Days," Christine Amato, executive director for Adopt -A-Dog Inc., said in a news release. "It's a wonderful event for the community with activities for kids and adults, and allows Adopt-A-Dog to show off some of our adorable adoptables! We look forward to having positive and fun days and hope to recruit some new foster families as well."

Both events support Adopt-A-Dog and other local nonprofit organizations dedicated to animal rescue and adoption.

According to the pet pantry, attendees can expect a packed lineup of fun, interactive, and family-friendly activities, including Dog Lovers Lure Coursing, Face Painting, Caricature Artist, Bone Bar, Ice Cream Pawlour, Sniffari, Scavenger Hunt in New Canaan, Food Trucks, Splash Park, and more.

The New Canaan Dog Days scavenger hunt will be specially curated and hosted by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events, known for their creative and engaging community activations, according to the pet pantry.

"These events have become a staple in Fairfield County and we're proud to continue creating unique experiences that support the welfare of pets and the people who love them," Pet Pantry WarehouseExecutive Vice President Adam Jacobson said in a news release. "From playful activities to pet adoption awareness, every element of Dog Days is designed to strengthen our bond with the community and give back."
