Elizabeth (Bette) Pauley, 100, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2025; born Sept. 17, 1924, to Dominick and Christine Alipranti, she worked in NYC for Conde Nast Publishing before launching Years Gone By, a vintage clothing business, and later enjoyed part-time work at antiques auctions and estate sales, while also hosting family gatherings, playing canasta with close friends, traveling, gardening, beachcombing, and caring for her beloved dogs, including her last, Cody.
Joan Turner Brode, 88, passed away on Feb. 25, 2025; born Sept. 1, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she earned a Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania, worked as a Pediatric Nurse in Philadelphia, raised a family in NY and NJ before settling in New Canaan, CT. She embraced life through travel, books, daily walks, needlepoint, puzzles, bridge, canasta, and her devotion to UConn Women’s Basketball and her church.

Gary Stevens, 84, passed away on Feb. 17, 2025; born Apr. 5, 1940, he began his radio career in 1959, became a household name as a WMCA "Good Guy" in New York, hosted an American music program on Swinging Radio England, later built a global media business, managed major U.S. radio stations, led Doubleday Broadcasting, pioneered industry-changing promotions, transitioned into media investment banking, and served on multiple broadcasting boards, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
Ronald J. Ulrich, 80, passed away on Feb. 8, 2025; born in Binghamton, NY, on an academic scholarship he attended Lehigh University, where he played tennis before earning an MBA from NYU, beginning a Wall Street career that included co-founding Morgan Stanley Asset Management and leading Equinox Capital Management, while also serving on nonprofit boards including Lehigh University, The New York Philharmonic, Lincoln Center, African Parks, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, alongside passions for tennis, golf, mountaineering, wine, and rescuing dogs with his wife, Christie.
