Salvation Army Truck Goes up in Flames in Downtown New Canaan
Huge flames and lots of smoke came out of a Salvation Army truck on fire at midday Thursday in downtown New Canaan.
A Salvation Army truck caught fire on East Avenue near its intersection with Forest Street today. According to the New Canaan Advertiser, the fire started just before noon.
Firefighters put out the flames within minutes as a large amount of smoke billowed out from the blaze, according to the Advertiser’s report. Both firefighters and police have stations nearby and were quickly on the scene.
