Sen. Frantz Visits Karl Chevrolet in New Canaan

Job creation, the state economy topics of concern of dealership's employees.

Sen. Scott Frantz (R-36) discussed job creation and the state economy while visiting Karl Chevrolet in New Canaan recently.

The Ranking Member on the Finance Committee, whose district includes Greenwich and parts of New Canaan and Stamford, said he believes Connecticut should be open to businesses around the state.

“Stability in business is crucial. Government should not stand in the way of innovation,” said Frantz.

During the tour hosted Leo Karl III, Frantz test drove a 2016 Chevy Volt, a hybrid car that gets over 40 miles per gallon. “Karl Chevrolet is an institution in New Canaan,” Frantz said.

Karl Chevrolet has been in business since the 1920s. During the visit, Frantz also spoke with employees and answered their questions.

“We need to do what we can to support businesses like Karl Chevrolet,” Frantz said.
