NEW CANAAN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Camille Carriero who nominated Sage Fuhrman of New Canaan, who sells her homemade products to help benefit New Canaan first responders and others.

Relationship to nominee: Vendor at the Wilton Farmers' Market

Reason for recognition: She sells her products not for profit but so she can share a "random act of sweetness" through her baked goods to other deserving people such as the New Canaan Police & Fire Departments, New Canaan EMS, Waveny Center and New Canaan public school teachers

One thing to know: "Sweet Krackerz" which are matzah crackers covered in homemade toffee and chocolate with various toppings are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!! She is truly a talented young lady that has a good heart and is a hero in her own way!
