Still Time to Enter Community Photo Contest
The Town of New Canaan is running a photo contest as part of the process of updating the POCD. Amateur and professional photographers of any age can submit photos of New Canaan. The deadline to enter is Sept. 20th.

The Town of New Canaan is running a photo contest as part of the process of updating the Plan of Conservation and Development. Amateur and professional photographers of any age are eligible to submit photographs of New Canaan.
The Town is looking for digital/electronic, high resolution photos that celebrate life in New Canaan and things that make the community special.
Images may show anything from natural beauty, history, landscapes, wildlife, events, celebrations, facilities, businesses, architecture or people living, working, shopping or playing in Town.
Winning entries may be used in the Plan of Conservation and Development, published on the Town’s website, or used in other Town publications.

Four winners will receive gift certificates from the Chamber of Commerce, which can be used at participating businesses. Winning photographs will be selected by a panel of judges based on such criteria as:
• Originality
• Technical excellence
• Composition
• Oerall impact
• Artistic merit
