Suspect in New Canaan Bad Check Cases is Arrested

The 82-year-old man surrendered to police on Thursday.

An 82-year-old man has been arrested on charges he issued bad checks to two New Canaan businesses.

The suspect surrendered at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 to New Canaan Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with two counts of issuing a bad check.

New Canaan Police spokesman, Lt. Jason Ferraro said, the suspect is accused of writing a $10,000 check on Sept. 25 and a $5,000 check on Oct. 7 to the New Canaan businesses.

Frank Geiger, of 28 Spring Valley Rd., Weston, was released on a promise to appear March 3 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
