Taste Of New Canaan Stroll Returns To Downtown Area

The fun event consists of three different walking tours in New Canaan.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce "Taste of New Canaan" stroll event is scheduled to return Aug. 25 from 5p.m. to 7 p.m.

In a bid to welcome families and visitors to downtown, the event consists of three different walking tours, according to a news release. Conceptualized and organized by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events, a portion of net proceeds will go to the local food pantry.

This fun event, sponsored by William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty is a fantastic night out with family and or friends. Check in for the kick-off party at William Pitt offices from 5 p.m. to collect pre-ordered wristbands and maps, where local musician Nick Depuy will be playing.

There is a 2.5-hour window for self-guided tours. Check in is no later than 7:30 p.m., as the event finishes at 8 p.m.

Taste Tour Tix (12 stops)

Visit the best New Canaan eateries and sample: Spicy Late Summer Succotash, Street Tacos, Umami Meatballs, Samosa Chat, Sliders and more!

Family Fiesta Tix (6 stops)

Visit New Canaan's kid-friendly places and sample Fusilli al Pesto, Sushi Bites, Custard Tart Cookies, Milkshakes, Ice Cream Sandwiches and more!

Wine Trail Tix (10 stops)

Visit a combination of stores and restaurants who will be handing out delicious wine samples for this event. Guests 21 years of age or older purchasing the wine trail tickets must provide valid identification.

Tickets are limited and on sale now, so purchases in advance are recommended to avoid disappointment.

As well as having fun, attendees will be supporting a good cause; all food will be provided at cost by Walter Stewart's Market so the food pantry receives the goods they really need.
