Taste Of New Canaan Stroll Returns To Downtown Area For 2022
The annual event consists of three different walking tours, including a "taste tour" and "wine trail."
NEW CANAAN, CT — The Taste of New Canaan Stroll, an annual event that helps the local food pantry, returns to town this week.
According to a news release, the event will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and consist of three different walking tours.
Attendees can choose from The Taste Tour, which features signature bites from some of New Canaan's best eateries, Family Fiesta, a family-friendly, shorter walking tour, and a Wine Trail, allowing attendees to visit restaurants and stores and enjoy a summery pour.

Conceptualized and organized by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events, over 250 strollers attended the event last year. The 2021 event also raised over $5,600 for the New Canaan Food Pantry, according to Rock Paper Scissors.
Sponsored by William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, the kick-off party starts at 5 p.m. at the real estate firm's New Canaan offices. Guests can collect their pre-ordered wristbands and map, plus enjoy live music by local artists Reese Sibery and Connor Flood.

There is a 2.5-hour window for guests to enjoy their self-guided tours. Check in is no later than 7:30 p.m. and the event finishes at 8 p.m., according to Rock Paper Scissors.
Taste Tour Tix (12 Stops)
- Sample pork belly bao buns, BBQ sliders, tacos, chicken tikka, butternut squash ravioli, mini crab rolls, Unami meatballs and more.
Family Fiesta Tix (8 Stops)
- Visit New Canaan kid friendly places and sample chicken bites, fusilli al pesto, sushi bites, samosas, brussels Sprouts, banana pudding and more.
Wine Trail Tix (11 Stops)
- Visit a combination of stores and restaurants who will be handing out delicious wine samples for this event. Guests 21 years of age or older purchasing the Wine Trail must provide valid identification.
Tickets are limited, so advance purchases are recommended, according to Rock Paper Scissors.
