The Navigator ADP provides participants with cognitively stimulating activities, social engagement, and a safe environment under professional supervision.
Hosted on Waveny’s renowned Main Street, participants will enjoy a light breakfast, a multi-course lunch, and access to a quiet space for independent activity and rest, according to Waveny LifeCare Network.
Accessible and Affordable Care
Thanks to generous donations and Waveny’s financial support, ADP’s costs have been significantly reduced: $130 for a full day (9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and $65 for a half-day (9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). Transportation may also be available through local resources.
The program operates as a social model, focusing on supervision and engaging activities rather than clinical care or medication administration. Services include light personal care, meal assistance, and guided activities provided by Waveny’s award-winning Therapeutic Recreation team, according to Waveny LifeCare Network.
Comprehensive Support for Caregivers
The Adult Day offering is part of the larger Navigator Alzheimer’s and Dementia at Home program which offers a concierge-level service free to New Canaan residents and their caregivers, providing 24/7 emotional support, care options, cognitively stimulating activities, and long-term care planning.
Members also gain priority access to Waveny’s continuum of care and referrals to trusted partners when necessary. Additionally, participants have access to an overnight respite apartment in "The Village," Waveny's memory care assisted living community, with no minimum stay requirement.
