Child Getting Off School Bus Attacked, Bit In Face, By Dog That Jumped Fence: NHPD
A fenced in dog hopped the fence and bit the victim in her face, causing a deep laceration to her cheek, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police said on Friday that a child was bitten by a dog, while exiting a school bus.
At 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Elizabeth Ann Drive for the report of a dog bite, according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.
"The victim exited the school bus and started walking towards her house. Two dogs, who were fenced in, hopped the fence and bit the victim in her face, causing a deep laceration to her cheek," Bruckhart said. "The victim's family was outside and as they approached the dogs ran back into their yard."

The injured child was taken to Yale Children’s Hospital for further medical treatment. Her injuries are non-life threatening, Bruckhart said.
The dogs were taken by New Haven Animal Control, he said.
