City Giving Out 10K Free COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits Saturday Morning

A drive-thru at the city Regional Fire Training Academy, 230 Ella Grasso Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., bring proof of New Haven residency.

NEW HAVEN, CT —The city Office of Emergency Operations, in partnership with the city health department and the New Haven Fire Department, will distribute 10,000 free COVID-19 rapid test kits to New Haven residents and businesses Saturday. The distribution is a drive-thru at the New Haven Regional Fire Training Academy, 230 Ella Grasso Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Each vehicle will receive five boxes containing two tests each. Residents must present a proof of residency to receive the test kits. The test kits have an expiration date of January 23, 2023.

As residents begin to return to work and school in the new year, it is important that everyone remains vigilant about stopping the spread of COVID -19 by testing when experiencing symptoms.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these free COVID-19 tests and get fully
