'Linda Has A Huge Heart': New Haven Hero

NEW HAVEN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Linda came to my husband. We own a pizzeria in new haven and ask if she raised a little money could she buy pizza from us to bring to Yale. We had talked about doing this two weeks before she came to us but we were so uncertain where we would be. Closed big loss of profits from having to minimize our pizzeria and we decided to wait. But when she came to him we were like yes.. he ended up matching her and between out joint efforts we have raised almost $5000 from the community and friends and we matched in pizza for cost. So far Linda and our family have donated about 1500 pizzas to the hospitals of Yale and St Ray campus, AMR our local police in new haven and our fire in new haven. Linda has a huge heart and should be recognized.
