Sound Obstetrics and Gynecology are very excited to share with you a few practice updates:

First and foremost, we are thrilled to announce that we have a new physician starting May 20. Dr. Leanne McCloskey is coming to us from Northwestern University, where she has worked as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in the Generalist Academic Faculty Group at Northwestern University for the past 9 years. She completed a fellowship in complex family planning and is the Medical Director of Postpartum at the Women’s Hospital. She and her family are very excited to be moving closer to their extended family in Connecticut. She is a wonderful person and will be an outstanding addition to our group.

We are beyond proud to share that Dr. Steven Fleischman has been elected the President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Dr. Fleischman has been an active ACOG member for 27 years and a member of the board for nine years, serving in various positions. ACOG President is the highest position in the country among obstetricians and gynecologists and the pinnacle of a career. While his full term is July 2025 – June 2026, he will have increased responsibilities related to this honored position starting in the next few months. Dr. Fleischman will continue to see patients in the office and at the hospital while also managing his additional responsibilities as ACOG President. We will do our best to anticipate changes in his schedule, and we appreciate your flexibility with unexpected rescheduling that may arise.

• Dr. Meagan Haynes, who is now Dr. Meagan Campol
• Grace Lessard, who is now Grace Hovey
