NEW HAVEN, CT — Without community leaders, New Haven wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

What does this community leader do?

He co-founded the CT Chapter of House of Heroes with his best friend, Bill May. Their motto -"make a difference in a day", helping veterans and first responders stay in their homes with any needed maintenance, repairs and/or renovations

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

For his tireless commitment and hard work organizing professionals and volunteers throughout the year to work a weekend making a difference in a day in the life of a veteran or first responder, completing over 200 homes since its inception

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

He humbly sits in the background out of the spotlight, not often recognized for all he does, to put the focus on others, out of honor and respect for our veterans. And he does it all with a smile. He's my hero
