Man's Death In New Britain Investigated As Homicide: Police
BREAKING: Police say the death was deemed "suspicious" in nature.

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Authorities are investigating a "suspicious death" in New Britain after a man was found dead in an apartment Sunday. The man's death has been ruled a homicide.
According to police, officers were dispatched to a first floor apartment on Tremont Street where the man was found dead. Police said the man was found dead at the scene and his death was deemed "suspicious" in nature.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner certified the cause of death as sharp force injury and the manner of death as homicide, police said.

The victim was identified as Willie Woodson, 66, of New Britain.
According to police, the death does not appear to be random and might be drug related.

The death is being investigated by the New Britain Police Department, the Connecticut Medical Examiner’s Office, the Connecticut State Police and the New Britain State’s Attorney’s Office.
