• Firefighters put out structure fire in Rocky Hill after finding frozen hydrant (courant.com) — Newington firefighters were part of Task Force 51 called in to cover Rocky Hill while crews battled a Sunday morning commercial building fire on Laurel Road, complicated by a frozen hydrant. No injuries were reported, and other hydrants kept water flowing as nearby roads were temporarily closed.
