West Hartford To Host Household Waste Collection
Regional group to collect hazardous materials from Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor and Windsor Locks.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town is hosting a special household hazardous waste collection event on Sunday, whereby residents can safely discard of hazardous materials from their homes.
The collection will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday at the West Hartford Public Works Garage at 19 Brixton St.
The regional Metropolitan District of Hartford hosts the event, which is for member towns.
Other communities that can utilize the West Hartford collection event are residents of Bloomfield, East Granby, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor and Windsor Locks.

The collections will take just about every type of waste common in a household, such as aerosols, paints, fertilizers, cleaners and pool chemicals.
In addition, waste oil will be collected at this location as well.
