Newington Man Accused Of Child Porn Possession: Police

The 25-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday without incident following an in-depth investigation.

NEWINGTON, CT — Local police have charged a 25-year-old Newington man with child pornography possession, the Newington Police Department announced Wednesday.

According to the NPD, Dylan Taylor, 25, of Newington, was charged Wednesday with was charged with first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material.

Taylor was processed and released on a $150,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Dec. 17.

Police said the arrest followed an investigation that began after a cyber tip was received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Upon receiving the tip, NPD detectives conducted an extensive investigation that involved the
execution of several search warrants, police said.

According to the NPD, digital evidence confirmed the possession of illegal content, leading to Taylor’s arrest without incident.
