3 Stabbed, 1 Seriously Injured At Ocean Beach Park In New London

NEW LONDON, CT — Three male victims were stabbed at Ocean Beach Park in New London on Sunday evening.

Police responded to the call at 5:35 p.m. reporting "an active physical disturbance and stab wound victims," according to a police statement.

Police arrived at Ocean Beach Park on Neptune Avenue and found three stab victims. The victims were immediately taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Two of the victims suffered wounds that were not life-threatening. They were treated and released from the hospital.

One victim suffered serious wounds and was also hospitalized. Police said this victim was in stable condition as of Monday afternoon.

The incident does not appear to be a random act, police said.

"We believe there is no further threat to the public related to this specific incident," police said in a statement.

The investigation remains active.
