5th Person Arrested in Crystal Avenue Shooting Case

As part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting that occurred on Nov. 29, 2015, at 48 Crystal Ave. in New London, police served a fifth arrest warrant on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Bobby H. Porter, 28, of 251 Norwich Ave. Apt. #1, Taftville, was arrested on the following charges:

• Criminal Attempt at Assault 1st
• Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm
• Reckless Endangerment 1st
• Criminal Possession of a Firearm
• Violation of a Protective Order (2 counts)

In November, multiple weapons were fired, including a Norinco AK-47 style rifle, according to New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard.
