New London Police Department Conducting Toy Drive In Waterford

The following is an announcement from the New London Police Union:

New London's Finest join forces with the City's Bravest when the police and fire union conducts its annual holiday toy drive this Sunday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. outside the Toys R Us store in Waterford.

"The toys will be provided to the New London Neighborhood Alliance who will distribute them to families in need through their Adopt a Family program," said firefighter Joe Nott.

"We understand how important the gift of giving is, especially to less fortunate families and are glad to assist," said police officer Justin Clacherie. "This year we hope our program is able to smile on as many deserving children as we can with the help from the public who have been very generous."

Look for the flashing lights of the police and fire department vehicles this Saturday at Toys R Us.
