Be On The Lookout—New London Police Say A Man Tried To Lure a Young Girl From a School Bus Stop

Police say a hispanic man who appeared to be intoxicated approached a 13-year-old girl as she was waiting for the school bus early this morning and offered her money to go with him. Anyone with information should call (860) 447-5269.

The New London Police Department is currently investigating the complaint of a suspicious person who approached a 13-year-old female at a bus stop on Montauk Ave at Mitchell Court early Monday morning.

According to police, the subject approached the girl as she was waiting for the school bus at approximately 6:40 a.m. Police say the man offered her money to go with him. 

The subject is described as a Hispanic male who spoke with a heavy accent. He appeared to be in his 40s or 50s, about 5' 2" tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, dark gray polo-style shirt, and blue jeans. He appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident. No vehicle was seen.
