A popular Mystic spot will open a second location in New London.

NEW LONDON, CT — A barbecue restaurant in Mystic will expand with a second location in downtown New London.

Noble Smokehouse is planning to open at 74 Bank St.

Owner Joshua Feldman said the opening has been delayed due to construction issues, but they're on track to open in either March or April.

The New London restaurant is considerably bigger than the Mystic location and will be able to handle four times the volume, Feldman said.

"It's going to be bigger and better," he added, with a 40-foot-long bar and capacity for special events.

He said the New London location will have a "fun atmosphere" with nightlife and a "rustic BBQ theme."

The restaurant serves brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, ribs, and more.

Previously, Feldman ran Noble New London in the same location on Bank Street. That restaurant shut down due to the pandemic, he said.

Noble Smokehouse is fresh off of appearing on the cooking competition show "Hell's Kitchen," where they served a meal to the winning team.
