Community Vigil To Remember Lives Lost To Domestic Violence

A candlelight vigil in remembrance of those whose lives were ended by domestic violence will be held in November as part of a broader effort to bring attention to the perils of domestic abuse.

Safe Futures, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking is hosting its annual vigil on Thursday November 3, 2022, at 6:00pm.

This year’s remembrance will be held at the Garde Arts Center, 325 State Street, New London
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Safe Futures earlier this month held a fundraising event in support of its programming. Safe Futures is much more than an emergency domestic violence shelter, and during the last fiscal year provided services to almost 10,000 clients, helping victims in crisis access counseling, navigate the legal system, and obtain housing.
