Five things to know in New London for Sept. 29

1. The sun stays hidden (though it's up at 6:43 a.m. and down at 6:33 p.m.) during another cloudy day with a slight chance of showers in the evening. The high temperature is 65 degrees.

2. The Eastern Connecticut Children’s Chorus rehearses every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Cummings Arts Center. The community chorus is open to children ages three to 12, so get in touch with the Thames Valley Music School if your child is interested in participating.

3. It’s National Drug Take-Back Day! A drop box is available for the safe disposal of prescription drugs in the lobby of the New London Police Department.
