Five things to know for April 4

1. Sunny with some returning warmth, as the high temperature reaches 48 degrees. Sunrise is 6:26 a.m., sunset is 7:17 p.m. Cloudier in the evening with a low temperature of 40 degrees.

2. In advance of his appearance on Friday at the unveiling of detailed plans on the National Coast Guard Museum, Admiral Robert J. Papp—commandant of the Coast Guard—will visit a Habitat for Humanity project today. Coast Guard cadets have been working on the house at 9 Jefferson Ave., and Papp will check it out at 10 a.m. 

3. The Board of Education holds a special meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Science and Technology Magnet High School. The agenda includes whether to terminate the contract of a tenured teacher and the first reading of the constituent service policy.
