Daily Five: Power Outages, Cancellations, Deep Blue
Five things to know for February 10

1. Some of the snow might already be on its way out today. It's a sunny day with the high temperature reaching 33 degrees before falling to 23 overnight. Sunrise is 6:49 a.m., sunset is 5:17 p.m.
2. Although the nor'easter has passed, there's still a lot of digging out to do and some places have canceled events. One item in this Daily Five was the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation co-hosting a Peace and Unity Bridge workshop, for example, but this has been canceled. Call ahead if you were planning to head out to make sure anything you were planning on attending is still going forward.
3. If you're still without electricity, don't forget to report the outage to CL&P. The number is 860-947-2000.

5. The IBM supercomputer Deep Blue won its first match against chess champion Gary Kasparov on this day in 1996. The game was the first in a six-game tournament held in Philadelphia, with Kasparov ultimately triumphing with four wins to Deep Blue’s two.
