Although the New London Art Night last weekend was fairly subdued, the art institutions in the city are holding a series of openings to debut new exhibits this week. The art shows are the clear leader in the upcoming things to do on the New London Main Street calendar.

Up first is an opening of work by the late artist Robert Hauschild, route: {:controller=>"events", :action=>"show", :id=>"a-celebration-of-the-art-life-of-robert-hauschild"} -->, whose pieces are on display at and through Sept. 29.
