New London Juniors Head to the Playoffs!

New London Youth Football Juniors are heading to the playoffs. The team finished the regular season as top seed in the conference with a record of 9-0. The team played Montville on Saturday night to finish the regular season with a 58-0 win.

The second string played most of the game, coming out with strong defense. A nice interception from Nick Fleetwood and some quick moves from Elijah Robinson for a touchdown were among the game highlights.  

"It was great to play home for change after playing 70 away games [and] only two home games," said Head Coach Calvin Fort. "My football team is very excited and now we have two playoff games, home field advantage, in New London."

"This is going to be great for New London, because we did not have a concession stand all year long because of the construction at the football field," Fort added. "Hopefully, now we can make some money."

The playoffs begin on Sunday.
