New London Police are reminding residents of ways they can report suspicious incidents and anonymous tips to police.

The New London Police Department reminded residents of the ways they can submit anonymous tips and help stop crime in the city.

Anonymous tips to NLPD may be sent through one’s cell phone or Facebook, by clicking “More” and “Submit a Tip” on the New London Police Facebook page.

To text, send NLPDTip and the information that you’d like to provide to Tip411 (847411). Supervisors with the police department can respond to residents through Tip411; however, they do not see your contact information.

The New London Police Department works with Citizen Observer to provide this service. Citizen Observer guarantees one’s anonymity and does not store any contact information.

“We encourage you to use this service to help stop crime within the community,” police said. “In case of an emergency, please call 911. Tips submitted through Tip411 may not be seen for a few hours.”
