Man Accused Of Shooting 2 Parked/Unoccupied Cars: New London Police

The accused was charged on a warrant and is being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

NEW LONDON, CT — On Friday, police took Raashid Cox, 34, of Laurel Hill Avenue in Norwich, into custody in connection to a December 2023 shooting, New London police said.

Police said they obtained an arrest warrant for Cox after a lengthy criminal investigation, which is still active and ongoing. Additional arrests are possible.

  • Criminal Attempt Assault 1st Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm
  • Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm
  • Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree

He is being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

The shooting occurred on Dec. 3, 2023 at 12:21 a.m. in the area of Bank and Golden streets. It was determined that multiple rounds were fired and two parked/unoccupied vehicles had been struck, police said. No reported injuries as a result of this shooting.
