Man Approaches New London Student, Offers Ride: Police

A Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School student told school officials he had been approached by a man as he was on his way to school.

The student said a man offered him a ride repeatedly, according to The Day. The alleged incident occurred near the Jefferson and Lincoln Avenues intersection.

Description of Suspect

• Approximately 40 years of age
• Hispanic
• Male
• Medium-colored complexion
• Dark hair
• Possible mustache
• Gold car with “I love Jesus” sticker on back of vehicle
• Gold chain on rearview mirror spelling out “Jesus”
