Many Westerly Hospital Doctors Moving Offices Beginning June 1
Nearly 20 doctors will be moving to Stonington

By Ellyn Santiago
Beginning Saturday, June 1, more than a dozen Westerly Hospital-affiliated doctors will have moved, figuratively and literally, to L+M Medical Group, the new hospital parent company. Many will have their offices re-located from Westerly to Stonington and some will also have office hours at alternate locations. Â
If you are a patient of one of the following physicians, and have an appointment scheduled after June 1, expect to be going to a different office from now on.   Â
Those doctors are:Â
Paul Benoit, Jr., MDÂ
Edsell Bernardo, MDÂ
Paul Bourguignon, MDÂ
Jeffrey Christian, MDÂ
Walter Scott Curtice, MDÂ
Robert Greenlee, MDÂ
Adrian Hamburger, MDÂ
Michael Harwood, MDÂ
Rajesh Gupta, MDÂ
Brandi Iovino, DOÂ
Louis Iovino, DOÂ
Barbara Muir, PA-CÂ
Stephen Phelan, MDÂ
James Stuart, DOÂ
Susan Stuart, DOÂ
Timothy Olson, MD, PhDÂ
Tara Whelan, DO Â Â
Another part of the transition includes “new scheduling and electronic health record systems,” which may cause initial appointment delays, according to the hospital. The hospital is asking that patients print and complete forms from this site in advance of any visits going forward. www.lmphysicians.org  Â
Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, which is based in New London, is in the process of purchasing the Westerly Hospital. In April, L+M's $69 million bid was approved by the Rhode Island attorney general and the Rhode Island Department of Health.
