Mitchell College Hosts Riveting Talks by Remarkable People
TED talks by some of today's leading thinkers will be followed by faculty-led discussions at Mitchell College as part of a free fall speakers program.

Throughout the fall, Mitchell College will be hosting special presentations of  TED Talks (Technology, Entertainment, Design), riveting talks by remarkable people.Â
Speakers include author Isabell Allende, futurist Juan Enriquez, and COO of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg. Each event will feature two to three TED videos (between 3 – 20 minutes in length) followed by a faculty or staff facilitator guiding discussion.
Supplemental activities and/or exercises may be included by the facilitator to help students and other audience members further explore the themes and ideas presented in the TED videos.
Jennifer Sullivan, an instructor at Mitchell College's Thames Academy explains that faculty are encouraged to "incorporate this worthwhile project into their courses; truly making this a collaborative, campus-wide effort."
All TED Talks will be held in the Weller Center on campus and are free and open to the public; free refreshments will be provided. Free parking is available at the College's DiBiasi Parking Lot on Montauk Avenue. Directions and a campus map may be located at community.mitchell.edu/VisitorGuide

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Nigerian Novelist : "The Danger of a Single Story."
