Music Could Fill Old Capitol Theater Once Again

New London's old Capitol Theater building sold this week.

NEW LONDON—Music may return to the old Capitol Theater on Bank Street.

On Wednesday, the abandoned property sold to Industrial Renaissance LLC for $68,000, The Day reported.

Industrial's Founder/President Eric Hamburg said his Westport-based company is exploring options for the old movie theater and vaudeville venue, according to The Day.

Vacant since 1974, the building is located at 35 Bank Street.

The new owner said he’s exploring all possibilities for the venue, including music and entertainment.
