Narcotic Enforcement Telephone Calls Not a Scam: Police

New London County residents may receive phone calls from the Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association as part of their fundraising drive.

The Waterford Police Department is reminding residents that the Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association is conducting its annual fundraising campaign in New London County.

"You may receive calls from the Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association, as they are conducting their annual telephone drive in the New London County area," police said. "The Waterford Police Department is not directly affiliated with the NEOA, but they are a legitimate non-profit law enforcement entity with a board of directors encompassing numerous Connecticut Police Departments. This post is to let you know that these are not scam calls. Please share this post."
