New London Police Seek Assailants In Baseball Bat Attack
45-year-old man suffers injuries in Jay Street incident

The New London Police Department is looking for information on a Tuesday night incident in which a 45-year-old man was reportedly attacked with a baseball bat.
Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said officers responded to a residence at 66 Jay Street at 9:20 p.m. after receiving a report that a group of males were attacking the man. Officers found the man suffering from head injuries, and he was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Reichard said the assailants left the scene in a silver VW Jetta. He said the vehicle and its owner were located soon after, but the assailants were not found.
