New London Police Were Busy Over The Holiday Weekend

September 2, 2013

Sophia Anderson, 5/9/91, 81 Plains Road, Deep River, was charged with disorderly conduct.

September 1, 2013

Lance Goode, 9/30/68, of 98 Williams Street, New London was charged with reckless driving and failure to obey an officer's signal.

Justin Wells, 5/26/90, of 113 Pequot Avenue, #2, New London, was charged with breach of peace (domestic dispute).

Sebastian Tzampop, 29, of 33 Lee Avenue, New London, was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, failure to obey a traffic signal, driving with a suspended license and without insurance and with misuse of registration. 

Rebecca E. Lucente, 9/14/81, of 25 Riverview Road, New London, was charged with DUI and failure to drive right.

Joseph Pinero, 5/27/90, of 717 St. Matthews Road, Virginia Beach, Va., was charged with disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $1,500

Angelo T. Ducharme, 7/4/57, of 2 State Street, New London, was charged with breach of peace. Bond was set at $1,500.

Dennis Moran, 53, of 53 Shaw Street, Apt. 2, New London, was charged with breach of peace (2nd degree) and with impairing the morals of children. Bond was set at $2,500.

Paul Young, 11/5/61, of 19 Jay Street, New London, was charged with breach of peace and trespass in the first degree. Bond was set at $2,500.

Willie O. Butler, 4/1/73, of 79 Mechanics Street, Apt. 1, Norwich, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree. Bond was set at $1,500. 

Matthew Brandes, 11/13/75, of 19 Jay Street, New London, was charged with driving with a suspended license, without registration and insurance, and with misuse of registration.

Jermaine Smith, 5/12/81, of 31 Blackwell St., New London, was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $2,500.  

August 30, 2013

Mark A. Hammett, 3/25/76, of 19 Jay Street, New London, was charged with failure to appear in the first degree and with three counts of failure to appear in the second degree. Bond was set at $15,000, $5,000, $1,500, and $1,500. 

Brett O. Bassett, 9/14/86, of 19 Jay Street, New London, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,000.

Stephanie James, 11/26/83, of 32 Huntington St., Apt. 3, was charged with violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $1,000. 

Lindsey J. Ducheneau, 9/28/89, of 19 Henry Street, New London, was charged with breach of peace and assault in the third degree. Bond was set at $1,500. 

David J. Ducheneau, 3/21/60, of 19 Henry Street, New London, was charged with breach of peace and assault in the third degree. Bond was set at $1,500. 

Jake Israel Balaban, 7/5/95, of 34 Buckley Hill Road, Colchester, was charged with assault in the 3rd degree, threatening in the second degree. 

Nelson Ortiz, 3/10/71, of 280 Gardner Ave., New London, was charged with evading responsibility and unsafe backing. Bond was set at $500. 

Eric Abbott, 6/21/85, of 76 Federal Street, New London, was charged with possession of hallucinogens, and with possession with intent to sell. Bond was set at $2,500. 

Christian Vargas, 10/27/89, of 305 Crystal Avenue, New London, was charged with burglary in the second degree, larceny in the 6th degree. 

Jeffrey Venturini, 1/3/81, of 171 Lincoln Avenue, New London, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree. Bond was set at $500. Incident occurred at 194 Bank Street.  

Shakim J. Curry, 5/31/90, of 49 Ridgeview Circle, New London, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree. Bond was set at $500. Incident occurred at 194 Bank Street. 

Travis Gee, 2/2/86, of 520 Ocean Avenue, New London, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree and criminal mischief in the third degree. Bond was set at $1,000. 

Randy Norton, 2/18/86, of 28 Branford Avenue, Groton, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Henry McDonald, 3/15/55, of 19 Steward Street, New London, was charged with driving under suspension, failure to obey a traffic signal, control signal. 

Gary Tamulevich, 7/28/72, of 83 Reeds Gap Road, Norwich, was charged with driving the wrong way down a one-way road, operating under suspension, and DUI. 

Fabiola Bolidor, 12/8/89, of 53 Garfield Avenue, New London, was charged failure to obey a stop sign and operating under suspension. On August 28, she was also charged with breach of peace in a domestic dispute.

Dana Kirkwood, 4/25/64, of 6 Cliff Street, New London, was charged
with interfering with an officer, assaulting an officer, possession of narcotics, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree.  

Robert Ortiz, 8/30/77, of 39 West High Street, New London, was charged with two counts of breach of peace in the second degree. 

Eric A. Atkinson, 5/6/68, of 17 Alger Street, Apt. 3, New London, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, three counts of possession on heroine, with failure to keep narcotics in the original container, with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of heroine with intent to sell (two counts). Bond was set at $250,000. 

Corey Hunt, 6/9/89, of 19 Jay Street, New London, was charged with trespassing in the third degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroine. Bond was set at $5,000.

Hallie Bidwell, 8/15/91, of 17 Seabreeze Avenue, Niantic, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing in the third degree. Bond was set at $2,500.

Irene Downey, 9/16/68, of 5 Governor Winthrop Boulevard, New London, was charged with failure to appear. Bond was set at $5,000.

Katyle Gervais, 6/13/90, of 83 Mansfield Road, New London, was charged with breach of peace (domestic dispute). 

Julio K. Valentin, 5/25/64, of 37 Sunset Road, New London, was charge with driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain proper insurance, and for not having working stop lamps. 

Orlando Melendez, 5/1/87, of 48 Crystal Avenue, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, and with unsafe movement. 

Richard Henry, 12/29/73, of 83 Blackhall Street, New London, was charged with threatening in the second degree. 

Hilary Henry, 5/21/80, of 83 Blackhall Street, New London, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree (domestic dispute).
