New London Shopping Center Restaurant Construction Resumes
Construction continues after it was paused because the contractor was found not to be in compliance with state laws.

Texas Roadhouse restaurant at the New London Shopping Center will now resume construction after state orders forced it to pause for one month on May 22, The Day reported. The contractor in charge of the project was cited for failure to carry worker’s compensation insurance and paying workers off the books.
Construction resumed June 18 after investigation of Buffalo Construction Inc., the general contractor, found the company to be compliant with state laws, The Day reported.

The framing subcontractor, J&B Construction of Kentucky, failed to report taxes correctly and had been keeping unclear payment records, The Day reported. Because of this, it faced $12,000 in fines for work site violations. The popular restaurant is expected to open in August.
