New London Tube: Crate Diggin' At The Telegraph

If you've been to this Golden Street business, you already know what the title is referring to.

The Telegraph opened in 2010 and offers a range of products including CDs, DVDs, and books. But it's a record store first and foremost, with the vinyl present in boxes or crates around the store and occasionally displayed on the walls.

YouTube user ld101 has a few other "Crate Diggin'" videos on his channel, documenting his visits to record stores in the Northeast, and in this one he comes to New London. Granted, the video starts with him driving into Niantic at first, but after that he apparently gets his bearings and comes up along the Thames River into New London.

After taking a look at the exterior of The Telegraph, he introduces the store as "the only spot that's in the area" for records. The video gives a first person perspective of his perusals through the selection, as well as an aside where he visits a cove and does some work with a sampler.

The person behind the video goes by the name "Nick Tha Ida" of Ethnick Productions. He has a bandcamp page showcasing some of his sampling and music work he's done.

His impression of The Telegraph? A decent selection, he says, and he was also quite impressed with the 10 records for $20 deal.
