New London Tube: Emcee M.D. Visits A "Punk Rock Antique Market"

In recent months, you may have passed by the El N Gee on Golden Street and noticed a few booths and tents set up out front. With the warmer weather, the music venue has been hosting a "Rockn Rummage" flea market.

This event started in April, with another one taking place in May. Vendors sold collectibles, clothing, music, and more. It's modeled after a similar event that started up in Detroit in 2005.

This video takes a look at some of the more oddball items that have been put up for sale. Emcee M.D., a musician named Mark Miller from Akron, N.Y., made a video diary of short takes during a tour through Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Visiting the Rockn Rummage's first appearance at the El N Gee in April, Miller at first describes the show as a "punk rock antique market." In the second video, he's quite ecstatic about a booth offering such things as a Chupacabra, a shrunken head, a paint-by-numbers elf, and the 1980s trading card set "Dinosaurs Attack!"

The next Rockn Rummage, according to the event's Facebook page, will take place on July 21.
