If you ventured into Mystic on March 24 for the Mystic Irish Parade, you would have seen several organizations and floats from New London. This video shows New London High School's Naval Junior ROTC as they round the bend at Main Street and Water Street.
The announcer compliments the group for looking sharp and says they look "a lot more squared away" than he did when he was younger. Parade organizers also thought highly of the NJROTC, awarding them the Best Youth Group honor.
The parade celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, and the NJROTC is about the same age. It was first offered at NLHS for the 2002-2003 school year.
The group's participation in the parade also came shortly after they took part in the National Academic Exam, placing second of 221 teams in the Northeast division.
