The New London Police Department is investigating an apparent stabbing on Lincoln Ave. this afternoon. Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said the department received a report of a stabbing at 154 Lincoln Ave. at 2:35 p.m. The call initially came through Troop E of the Connecticut State Police and was transferred to New London. Reichard said a man at the address had an apparent stab wound to his left side. He was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment. The case remains under investigation, and anyone with any information should contact the NLPD at 860-447-5269.
