Police Seize Heroin, Crack Cocaine From New London Residence
New London resident Rudy Hernandez was arrested on narcotics-related charges.
A search and seizure warrant was served on 264 Colman St., New London, on Thursday, April 14, by New London Police Department narcotics officers, Connecticut State Police-Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East and the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force members.
Officers located 50.9 grams of heroin, 38.4 grams of crack cocaine, $7,425 in U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia, according to New London Police.
One man was arrested as a result of the search and seizure warrant. Police said 42-year-old Rudy Hernandez, of 264 Colman St., New London, was arrested on the following charges:
- Two counts of possession of narcotics
- Two counts of possession of narcotics, with intent to sell
- Two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, within 1,500-feet of a school
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Operating a drug factory
Hernandez is being held on a $250,000 bond.
